Better Late then Never

I know it's a little late to finish blogging about our fantastic honeymoon but better late then never, right?

After we left California we spent one night in Tahoe and then we were off for two days in Flaming Gorge Utah were we hiked a trail that led us to actual dinosaur footprints fossilized in stone. The trail was very strenuous. Along the way our Boston Terrier Nutsy got into a fight with a cactus, and the cactus won! Tinkerbell got one cactus needle in her foot and she was done for the day. I had to carry her most of the way back and she loved every minute of it. While in Utah we also went to a Dinosaur museum and were actually able to touch dinosaur fossils.

Our next stop was Nebraska where we only camped overnight and took off the next morning. That night we had the worst thunderstorm I've ever been in. Luckily Bob was smart enough to prepare for such a dilemma and we seam sealed the tent prior to leaving PA. We stayed completely dry.

Our last stop on our trip was Cincinnati where we visited my Aunt Kath, Uncle Chuck, my cousin Patrick, his wife Steph, and their three ADORABLE daughters Suzy, Sandy, and Sophie. Aunt Kath and Uncle Chuck's home is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed our visit. Our first day there we watched Sophie cheer at her school's football game. She did a GREAT job and we were all so proud of her. That night us girls (Suzy, Sandy, Sophie, and I) had a campout in the family room. I always have a great time with girls. Suzy is a social butterfly. She introduced me to lots of friends at the football game. She is very analytical and loves dolphins. I can defiantly see her working at Sea World one day or hosting her own Animal Planet show about dolphins. Sandy is very artsy and confessed that when she turns 18 we can find her "in one place and one place only...PARIS (said with a French accent)"! Spoken like a true artist and world traveler! Sandy is so full of feistiness. Bob had a great time picking with Sandy. Whatever he dished out, she gave it right back. Sophie is my twin when it comes to looks and personality. She's my mini-me. She is such a sweetheart and is so compassionate and caring. No wonder she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Of course if the teaching thing doesn't work out she is will to give a job as a rock star a chance too.

The following day we went to downtown Cincinnati which is beautiful. There is a huge playground for kids there and lots of sites along the Ohio River. We walked across the Purple People Bridge. The girls walked around the mall which was just on the other side of the bridge while the men went a car show that was just outside the mall. We had a great time visiting our family in Cincinnati and can't wait to see them again. Thanks for everything guys!

We returned home from our amazing trip just in time for Bob to start school the very next day. What a great 3 weeks!!!!! I can't wait until we have a chance to do it all again...
