We went to Idaho and on to California

Hello everyone,
We finished up our visit in Idaho and went on to California to spend some time with Rose and Patty. While in Idaho we went on some adventures with the Churella clan. What a place to see. Boise is a wonderful city. If you go a short drive away into the mountains you find yourself in the mountains. Just a neat place to visit. Uncle Joe, Aunt Pat and the boys were great and we loved visiting with them. Thanks for a wonderful time. The ride to California was a boring ride through the desert. Nothing to talk about there. We camped at Lake Tahoe on the way to Aunt Rose's place. Tahoe is a wonderful site to see. The state camp grounds were awesome. We only hung out there for a short time then we were back on the road. We made it to Rose's in the afternoon and went down to the lake to hang out on the boat. What a wonderful time. Yesterday we drove down to San Francisco. What a neat city. Rose took us to the fishermans warf and we had a wonderful time. Kaya was with us and she is a ray of sunshine. Her and Jill hit it off and pal around everywhere. one day in that city is not enough but we enjoyed the time we had there. Today we are just going to hang out around the house and enjoy the family here. Jill and I both agree this is the best vacation ever.

p.s. Thanks for all your comments.

We made it to Yellowstone and beyond.

Jill and I made it to Yellowstone. We saw all the little critters they had to offer. There were alot of bison and elk. We were fishing and Jill had a herd of bison cross the river right next to her and I was telling her to grab the camera and she didn't even realize they were there. We saw a few moose and 2 grizzly bears. The park was nice but too commercial for us. We made our way down to the Grand Tetons and Jackson, WY they were beautiful and much nicer than Yellowstone. We made our track across Idaho on US-20. The state is beautiful but lightly populated. We went white water rafting today it was sweet. Jill went down the river with Jennifer, Craig girlfriend. They rolled over once but otherwise had control the rest of the time. More of Boise and ID to see tomorrow. Will let you know how that goes. Until then, enjoy.

The adventure of a life time: Week 1

Well we made it to Sturgis. Michigan was fun. We spent time with Eric and Ang Dinatale, and their daughters, Bella, Sophie, and Eliza, at Van Buren State Park near South haven. The park is beautiful and the beach was gorgeous. Jill thought the water was cold, but I went in a played for a while. We had a wonderful time and thanks Eric and Ang for a great weekend. After our stay we drove on to Camp Douglas, Wisconsin. Wow, Wisconsin doesn’t have much to write about. We stayed the night there and continued our journey to South Dakota. We went through Minnesota and it truly is the state of 10,000 lakes, and lots of corn too. South Dakota is beautiful especially the Bad Lands. Our first night in SD we stayed in Chamberlain on the Missouri River. Breath taking is all I can say to describe it. After our night there we traveled to Custer, SD via the Bad Lands. The Bad Lands and the Black Hills are a spectacular site to see. We made a trip to Sturgis and the Rally was in full swing. What madness that was. Today we are off to Yellowstone in Wyoming.

Honeymoon: a cross country tour

Hi everyone! My name is Jill and my husband is Bob. I started this blog to chronicle our cross country vacation. On Friday we leave for a 3 week tour of the northern and western portion of our country including: Michigan, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, California, Nevada, and Arizona. We are very excited and ready to get this vacation underway. This is a honeymoon for Bob & I. We were married July 16th of this year. I know if we can survive driving 3 weeks in our Jeep across country together we can survive anything!
